The scratches appear after when you try and use the enlarger to make 8x10 prints and fubble around in the red darkness. The black and white negs look like well black and white I guess just dark areas you orignially saw in person are lighter and lighter ones dark ( I guess ). I'm very surprised at

For a 35mm enlarger... I'm told the 75mm f/4.5 Minolta Rokkor is decent. Also, the Nikor 105mm f-5.6 is considered pretty good. These are fairly expensive as enlarger lenses go, so they better be good. The last enlarging lens that I used was a screw mount Pentax 100mm f/4 macro lens with a
