Yeah, I agree. I tried a M50 1.7 on the *istD (which acts like a 75)
and it's a very small lens. That makes a very small walk around
package without the grip. A slow 60 just isn't much use.

Is the M35/2 a pretty fast focusing lens?
Just wondering how it would be for a street lens where you want to
focus quickly. Some lens seem to snap into focus more quickly than
others. Although I'm sure it's pretty subjective.

Right now, today, my *ist-D two lens solution would be
20/2.8 and 43/1.9. My three lens solution would be 20/2.8,
31/1.8, 77/1.8. but I feel uncomfortable about not having a
100mm macro with me, so three becomes four... My one-lens
solution would be the 31/1.8. Or, if a zoom, the 20-35/4.0.
