Go to www.hamrick.com
It has a crappy user interface, but works pretty well.

I actually exchanged the first one I had too (due to a more serious
intermittent fault than slightly out of focus slides) but both scanners I
tried scanned slides slightly soft. I don't think it is an adjustment
problem but more a case of it simply being a 'cheap and cheerful' piece of
equipment

I have a Plustek Opticpro 9636T which has a slide/negative scanning ability
(at 1200dpi).
I have also noticed that scans of slides are slightly out of focus. I think

Paul,
I have been using the S20 for more than a year, and
one of the biggest problems that I see is the
unability to scan several mounted slides at the same
time (like stripes of negatives).
About colors, I noticed that when scanning negatives,
people faces (and skin in general) came up too red.

Hi Paul,
I also bought S20 recently - say four months back, however, did not use it
that extensively to give any authoritative feed back to you. However, it is
surely a good scanner and my findings are -

to sharpen those. default sha

My worst problems come not just from dust but from crap that the lab left on
them. I keep a small blower-brush beside the workstation to get rid of 99% of
the dust, not just to keep it off my scanned image but also
about.

My experience with the S10 is that it handles black and white
very poorly. Hopefully the S20 is better, though I have
de as i can just scan them now :) I'll
shoot more b/w also now as i can just develop then scan.

I've had one for a year and a half (or thereabouts) and find it is

be hard pressed to find one. :-)

I agree that it's a great scanner for the money. However, I often find the
colors and exposure sometimes not to my liking. When this happens, I
