Thanks for your continuing good work on plucker! I've been waiting for
this release with great anticipation because of the improved image
handling.
However, I've encountered serious problems in the latest release (1.1,
posted yesterday):

Well, if you can see grayscale images from that database then
you know that there is nothing wrong with the viewer.

by changing the ~/.plucker
The link to the Windows version of 1.1 brings me to a "Sorry the server is
down" message instead of kicking off the download.

I've been looking at the source for plucker and have been attempting to
compile it and assume I've not got my environment right. I'm running on a
Windows 2000 machine and I assume that this is compiled using gcc. The
makefile and viewer.rcp file both have an in extension, do they need to be

Yes it seams that the web hosting service doing the dirk-heiser.de are

No offense to Dirk. But, you seriously need to find a better home for the Windows
version of Plucker. His server has not been online for quite some time now. I'm sure
either Tucows, PalmGear or Handango would host it as they do the other million palm
software titles.

There are several things that should be changed, though (IMHO).
- the contact address should point to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
- the web site link should point to plucker.gnu-designs.com

The problem is that the contact address is registered to the
submitter. It's a flaw in their design. Let's say I release an app called
'blort', that means that [EMAIL PROTECTED] is the address
associated with 'blort' now too. When

Fixed that, but now that is tied to my Contact Info as a
developer. I don't really want to create a separate userid/password for
every new piece of software released on PalmGear.

Thanks for your prompt response. The following log should answer all
your questions. I also looked at the output of ppmquant, and it looks
like you'd expect. I encourage you to try running the same command on
your machine and see what you get:
