Working out what the HLS AAC stream url is doesn't seem to be that
tricky:

I'm running squeezeplug on a raspberry Pi.
I've installed the PlayHLS plugin and it was a breeze to get the HLS
streams playing (thank you)
However, I've started and stopped the stream a few times on a couple of
radios and I notice the cpu on the Pi is running at 94% and multiple

Just the binary. Placed where squeezebox can find it. With executable
permissions. /usr/bin/ is where I put it.

I've had a quick hack of the Iplayer app to get it working with HLS
listen again.
It was very straight forward. No authentication keys or other
obfuscation. If somebody wants to do an official fork, this is how you

The BBC have changed the XML that supplies the meta data for the listen
again streams.
This has broken this plugin.

I've been having a browse of Triode's implementation of the RTMP
transport protocol in perl as part of the IPlayer App. I've also been
having a look at what other people have done implementing the HLS
transport in scripting languages. I didn't see anything that
frightened me too much.

content (and search capability), I've therefore created this
experimental plugin that tries to replicate this.
It is not intended to replace the already excellent BBC Iplayer and
Extras plugins , but be complementary to them,
