About a month ago I goofed forgetting the battery wasn't in place I pulled

It's obviously the same Century adapter but as listed
Gary,
As long as you don't use the machine in SSCI disk mode drive size is no
problem, if you use SSCI disk mode with a drive size over 3 GB your data may
get corrupted, This is a known problem with no work around, it's in the
firmware stored on the ROM.

The funky, neat-o, disco-esque shimmer effect is caused by your
display trying to draw more colors than either it supports natively
(shouldn't be an issue with an active matrix display) or trying to
draw colors that aren't in the system palette. I suspect that your
problem stems from the

I'm in the midst of a project to upgrade the VRAM on my 5300cs
motherboard from 512KB to 1024KB.
It's not immediately obvious where the problem lies
- except for a missing 8MB RAM on the cs motherboard, the ce and cs
variants now look pretty darn similar
Check the configuration resistors, I would bet that they are in different
positions, you will need to check a small section at a time to

Anyway, anyone know what are some good recording software packages that will
run on a 3400(180mhz) with 144MB ram?
On the cheap?
You could try Macromedia Deck II - I was getting 8 channels
If they are all the same (same value AND location) then it may be hard-coded
in the ROM, the only way of checking for certain would be to change the ROM
chips over.

run this on both boards and compare the output files,

I be looking for specifically a notebook drive?
You do need to be looking for a notebook drive, 2.5
Absolutely. I have one and I do.
If you remember the os checks the floppy drive first to see if it has a
startup disk. One way to check is to remember that Norton Utilites (and
others) need a bootable disk to perform certain operations. The Earlier
Norton had a program to make a bootable disk
Thank you for your note, Bruce.
I suspect that you are correct; in the OS upgrade (8.1 to 8.6) and
re-installation of the Dayna CommuniCard driver, I've gotten some things
tangled and misplaced.
We've also noticed a need for a sequenced shut-down and restart of our dsl

Dang sorry none out there. I sold my 5300 weeks ago, but had the same
setup so I have given you all I could as info. Sorry.

When I try to record on my 520 all I get is a screeching noise, no matter what
combination of settings I try. The first time I used it it worked ok, but when I
started experimenting with the settings, I got this screeching noise. Any suggestions?
Thanks
