Well I've got to say that Apple really came through for me on my sending my 5300cs in under the REA. Not only did they replace the logic board this time, but it appears they put a new screen in and a new power adapter. I suppose the connector shorting out may have created a bit of havoc

Well, I am happy to report that some good people at Apple have reconsidered my claim and decided to fix my 5300cs. Even though this unit had gone through the REA program, it turns out that they merely re-soldered the bad AC adapter connector to the logic board in the first place
