I remember awhile back, someone was asking if its possible to add
footers to outgoing mail.
I just came by this, I'm not sure if it would work with QMT,

no, not through squirrelmail.
like i mentioned, a while back, someone was asking if whether it was
possible to add a footer/disclaimer to qmail.

this message i'm sending you right now, is through squirrelmail with the
plugin for footers. see below.
I'm trying to help Paco build the current toaster on FC4. I'm getting the
following error:

From what I've been able to find, ld is looking for a file named
libcourierauth.a in its library path.

Chris,
Looking at the patch and the comments in the message thread it has been
posted in, I think that the patch raises many issues. Here are the main
ones:
1. Breaks multipart mime mails
2. Uses stdio - which Dan has avoided and written his own libs to protect
Qmail from broken functions in the
Thanks, Jon.
I'm about to try that, but it's not the right fix.
maildrop-toaster uses libtool binaries that are built as a part of
courier-authlib-toaster (at least for FC4). The libtool script in the BUILD
directory includes the proper path(s).

Just for posterity, I exported LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/courier-authlib and
it worked.
I don't know for sure what the problem is. The server might be 'broken' in
some way that I can't find, or there might be a problem with libtool that
isn't fully fixed on FC4. I find it peculiar that the
FC4 support is getting a bit scary, especially now that Fedora has
moved this OS has moved to Fedora Legacy. Not sure if it's worth
investing the time to fix this or work on support for the upcoming
FC6.
