One thing I was warned about this type of objects a long time ago was that, while you are relieving pressure to the area in the middle, the outside rings can be cutting off at least some blood flow to where you are relieving pressure. Not saying that it shouldn't be used. Just say be careful.

Thanks, Greg.  I was looking more for the post where someone provided possible reasons, other than the obvious, for why a chair isn't getting the mileage it should.  The post contained other areas of a chair that could be drawing charge from the battery, rather than normal, expected use.
