The wound vac itself looks harmless. But it can be very complicated piece of equipment. Its technical. You can't buy a machine, they are rented for a specific period of time. The wound must be sealed with NO leakage during the healing process. There is a vacuum alarm that advises its us

I would go to the wound center and get a second opinion. I was being followed by a plastic surgeon, when I had a wound vacuum and a nursing agency. He had taken off and look at it every several weeks. He had to determine how long I used, until I was ready for plastic surgery a skin graft. Min

Jim, you should be able to go out patient and get the wound vacuum and have a visiting nurse take care of it. I got mine while hospitalized because of my foot surgery that went wrong. I think they would do them outpatient. I would ask my doctor and maybe search for a Dr. that would do outpat
