OK, here is one for the books.
I just spoke on a panel to about 200 nurses concerning wound care. Of
course a lot of
the legal medical stuff flew over the cuckoos nest.
I live in Lancaster County Pa, where it is 9 degrees right now and there is
a large
Amish population. One VNA said she
Wound Care, has migrated and morp'd from hospitals and doctor's offices
into a clinical and specialized industry. And doctor's are ok with that
because it is so special and no one wants to mess with ulcers and opened
wounds. And for those wound care clinic it has become quite profitable.

lengthy
but I feel it is important.
I have a friend who is charge nurse in a wound clinic and deals with
the latest technology in wound healing.
I feel that it would be wise to print this information, research
Thank you so much for sharing this information. I pray that you heal

Bobbie,
I feel for you as I've been through hell bottom-wise. From what you're
explaining, you definitely need a wound clinic to get that looked after.
Clear with intermittent blood is not bad, but if you begin getting a foul
odor from the wound, it's bad. That odor is your tissue breaking down
Hi All,
I've been dealing with a stage wound on my right ishum for 10 weeks.
It's been oozing clear stuff and bleeding on and off. I know bleeding is a good
sign for healing.
I called today different Hospital wound care center's and they all say THEY

I try and eat good protein foods like chicken, turkey, egg, etc. Pus protein bars and or protein drinks, pre-made ones like muscle milk. I can't stand the powder drinks. But I've used the powder in cookies. Pretty good.

Thanks, Lori- good to hear from you ! My doctor said try protien
shakes
Powder Whey Protein (flavored) and milk tastes like a milk shake and is
extremely healthy. Smoking and Liquor is not good. They can hinder the
healing process greatly.
Best Wishes

So, all this talk about wounds and having to stay in bed got me to thinking.
Everybody's talked about how to keep our minds busy, etc. I haven't really
read anything about what to eat to help hurry along the healing process. Years
ago, I remember being told that we do most of our healing
I eat a yogurt a day, a boost a day and my meals are high concentration of high

the wound is closed to stop using the cream and
just use the patch. The cream will actually dry the wound too much after it's
closed.
