This sounds the mysb problem if you radio is set up to connect to mysb.
If it is then you can control the radio from the mysb web page (e.g. try
to play a radio station) and also wrest control back to your own sbs
server.

I understand your frustration, as the (re)connection logic truly is the
underlying cause of alarm instability. I also understand your doubt

Hello to everyone,
I am new to this forum, I have the Radio since Christmas.
Could anyone please answer me these 3 questions!?
1. I was a bit disappointed when I found out that several stations are
not working, different error message appear in these cases. Of course
most stations work, but
Welcome to the forums and world of Squeezeboxes.
1. It would help if you could give a specific example (or a few
examples) of the stations that aren't working. As you say, most of the
thousands of stations that are listed do work, so it's important to
pinpoint those that don't work so that
I found out a bit about it... seems like the squeezebox server is not
responding much these days.
Is it always like that?

I hate to be a bother but I have another question. I enjoy listing to a
local radio station that only uses WinAmp as there player. I have added
the stream as a favorite however it will not play, this is the streams

Thank you for the quick answer!
OK, I hope I get specific enough now:
1.Here are same examples of non working stations:
ABS Radio 620 / Omulunga Radio 100.9 / Radio San Marino Classic
-- HTTP:/1.1 404 NOT FOUND
Mango 96 FM
-- Connect timed out
Duhok Radio 93.3
Error: No items found in playlist
Have you contacted Logitech support? Personally I think it should just
work -- even half duplex 10mbit ethernet should be adequate.

Have a new SB Radio. I'm an experienced squeezeboxer, with 2 classics
and a boom in the house. Upon set up of the Radio, I connect
effortlessly to my wireless network, and registered the Radio to my
mysqueezebox.com account, and from there I played from my radioio.com
account within 2 minutes,
Try goint to 'Settings', then 'Advanced', then 'Networking' and you
should see an option to go back to mysb.com. Under 'Settings' also look
at 'Home Menu' which will allow the relevant option to be added to the
top level menu to make the process a little quicker.

Hi All,
I got my Squeezebox Radio for Christmas to replace my Squeezebox Boom
as my bedside radio and I have to say I am somewhat disappointed.
The sleep timer is not intuitive at all. It's well hidden in the
settings. Even adding it directly to the home screen is still not as
easy as the Boom.
Although I like the SBR it seems it does not work properly
for me. I have the feeling that this thing was released a
little before it was ready.
Here is my setup. I have a home network with a desktop (call it X)
computer running gentoo linux as my router, dhcp server
etc. Plus several computers
I was making it WAY too complicated. My niece is happy now!

If you have an iPhone or Android device there are apps to control your
Squeezebox devices.
iPeng for iPhone is probably the best.. the Android apps are not as
good and are very basic but they get the job done for me and are
open-source so if you know Java you can make it better.

Hi Peter
my thoughts entirely! If the homeplug works with the Boom it should
work with the radio IMO. I have sort of proved it's the multiport switch
causing the issue as if I use a single port homeplug it works fine. The
error message really does make me think half duplex connections are not
I see. To remember someone asking this before and being told Mouser
stocked them. Maybe a site search will turn up that thread

- Radio alarm functionality is being worked, stay tuned
- correct, no backlit buttons on Radio
- no tone controls (bass, treble) on Radio
- reboots: Radio requires SqueezeBox Server v7.4. Are you running

Bear in mind you'll have to install the XM plugin first. On the Plugins

XM Radio should be the last one. Tick it off and click apply. That

Hi. I already own a squeezebox boom and liked it so much, I bought a

However, on the Boombox the keypad lights up, so you can see the

illuminate at all?
Is there a menu setting to get the

Actually, I've now had my bedside Radio for about 2 months now, and I

Are there any plans to add an equalizer, or even just basic bass/treble
adjustments, to the Radio? I know it's not intended to be an
audiophile-grade piece of equipment, but it'd be nice to at least have
simple adjustments.

At least one of the developers has posted that bass and treble controls
are planned for a future firmware upgrade to the SB Radio. I don't have
any insider information, but I don't suspect it's a high priority right
now.
