Some motors can handle being over-volted, some can't. If you can find a
model number of the motor you can do a Google search to see if anyone has
over-volted it. Otherwise, it may work or it may burn your motors out. If
it works you will get more RPM's and more torque at less amp draw.

mid-August. :)

Way too small IMO. The shaft size is 6mm in diameter. Those look like they
would be better suited for an R/C car, ship, or small scale tank. The dark
gray metal on the top of the motor is the gearbox.

I think buying geared motor is worth the extra cost. A lot of us use these
like in my Sturmtiger:

My personal favorite would be these that I use in the KV-2 and the M113:

PVC can be formed with a torch, it routes better, it's waterproof already,
and it's just as easy to work with as wood.
That's why I like PVC.

I don't really care about lightness of my tank. It's not a F1 racecar, it's
a tank. I know that a lighter tank would be more efficient on battery life,
but I have yet to explore the total runtime.
Gun + tracks = tank I have run into this very question with my M113 that I
wanted to dual build as an APC and an FSV (fire support vehicle).

If this is the same Bill Hamilton from another one of the tank sights I

I and others like the 1/6th rule due to the fact you can find pre-made
accessories in 1/6th scaleothers like the 3ft. rule. You decide.

Personally, I would avoid any tanks that have an interleaved suspension
like the Tiger or the Panther. They add complications that you don't need
if you are going to be somewhat true to scale. I think the Cromwell is
actually a very nice, easy design to start with. Maybe that's why Steve
chose
Overlapping would also be a word to describe them. The wheels have to pass
by each other when they hit a bump. Has to do with the physical locations
of the wheels, not the suspension. It does make the suspension a little
harder to recreate due to the very short distances between wheels and the
Let's muddy the water a little bit more...my Sturmtiger shot a 320mm rocket

Classification: tank. :) The MLRS would be cool, but only if it was
allowed to fire a barrage of all 12 tubes IMHO. :)
