I have 3 very lightly used Radian 8048’s on a shelf (they were in standby mode
only for ~3yrs) that I’d love to find a home for if anyone has a use for them
or the parts.

Wondering if anyone has used the new 12kW Fortress Envy inverter in an AC
coupled system yet and what sort of results you might have seen? I’ve heard
that this inverter is made by the same manufacturer as SolArk. Don’t know if
that’s true or not, but find it interesting.

Panels were: Silfab 330 BL @STC Isc = 9.83A, VOC = 42.24
RSD-S-PLC Input volt range = 8-80V Max cont input current =15A
So, panels are well within the operating range of the RSD’s.

Very interesting video, now I know Fronius is pointing fingers at Micro
manufacturers but the demo seems to back up their proposal to scrap the 80V
limit. This is yet another reason we haven’t used many Micro’s on our systems.

I’ve found that using brass nuts work well and don’t seize on the SS bolt. Just
be sure to use a lock washer. It’s not like you need a lot of clamping force,
the bolt is in pure shear so brass is fine.

rafter spacing isn’t
consistent or there are sistered rafters for long spans. Insert the wire thru
a test hole, bend into a U shape, then rotate to find exact location of rafter,
mark with chalk, then go to town.
