I've solved may problem by configuring an option at ldap.conf (it isn't at
the documenation) and that message:
daemon: socket() failed errno=97 (Address family not supported by
protocol)
can be ignored because the kernel isn't support the IPv6 socket and LDAP
does.

Yes they work fine. We use the 170 series where I work as well as some
Dell flat panels and they all work great. (I believe they top out at
1280x1024 resolution though)
I cannot remember if the monitor's were directly supported or I selected
a generic model. But either way, they work great.

exactly what I did. The real issue now is in my paranoid mind is that
you do not know what sort of stuff has been installed/ modified
I can think of two options. One is to use octave or scilab. The other is
trying the HP 48 emulator for Window$ via WINE.
I would go for octave, as it is a full math languaje and environment, and
it works both in text and graphical mode.

I need to understand translate (understand) some parameters of the
access.log file from a squid proxy server.
The log file has a particular time format and i need some info about a lapse
of time (from X hour to Y hour).
Does anyone know any tool that let me translate the UTC format of the squid
I have to end up rebooting the box or do a 'umount -f' to get commands
such as 'df -k' working again. I'm running the latest kernel and
packages. Anyone have an ideas why?

I am very new to all this. I am trying to install Redhat Linux 8.0 on a Sun
Ultra 1. I did a 'Stop A' on bootup and typed boot cdrom at the 'ok' prompt
but it doesn't bootup the CDRom. It tries to load the CD but seems to
freeze. Is there a special command I should use here because it is

Actually the tilde symbol is to be found on the right of the keyboard
above the # hash key. At least on a proper keyboard it is ;-)

Are you trying to start it while you are logged in as root ?
Also try netstat -an and see if port 389 is used on your machine.
Also you may put it in /etc/services if the port is not there.
