times I use #14 insulated solid copper tie wires (butterflies and beam

No, I might have used the wrong name.. I will be using EMT Hangers,
They are a U shaped jobby, with a hole in the bottom to secure them to
something and a holes at the top for a screw to pull both sides together..

2d question only.
If you have adjacent channel repeaters close to you, something is wrong
with your frequency coordinators. 2 mtrs has enough trouble with 600
khz spacing, to expect 16 khz is ludicrous. The only solution for
adjacent channel repeaters is distance.

I'm normally a motorola guy- but I'm having a hard time finding low split

Jeff,
The only difference we could tell in the paging industry is the 304 had a
much better lobe directly under the antenna so in a tall building of around
15 floors in most cases it would work better to the basement than a 224.
Other than that we could not tell any difference. Talked to one of

The Universal Radio M-450 Decoder is considered by many to be the Cadillac
of standalone decoders. In addition to decoding and displaying CDCSS and
CTCSS, it also decodes DTMF, ACARS, FEC-A, SITOR, NAVTEX, and many other
code formats. This unit is available from time to time on auction sites.
I'm sure you won't be sorry with your decision, Doug!!

The only thing wrong with a Fluke Meter is the cost of the
replacement internal current percision fuses when you blow
one (or both) by mistake.
Not a question of if... just a quesiton of when.
But it's a fair trade to blow the current fuse vs fixing the
meter as in days of old... Many of

Chris,
First you need to determine if your repeater controller can generate the
tones. Two tone paging was a feature in controllers made by S-Com, ACC and
others. As long as the controller can generate the sequence it should work
well.

Hi Mike,
I'm not as familiar with the ACC or others, but the Scom has a single

The 5K, 6K and 7K had one single-tone generator. The 7330 has three

There were pagers that used 1+1, ones that used 5 quick tones, ones
that used a

Nope, because like you said, they would draw the feedline into the

Won't the Minerallac plated hardware begin to rust after a year or two
outside, just like other plated stuff?
Laryn K8TVZ
Turn the uni-strut over and mount it flat side out and use normal snap-in
mounts every 4 to 5 feet, drill the holes in the uni-strut to fit the
snap-ins. It holds the coax without damage and you can add several more
coaxes whenever you need to.
