Do you have more than one tag type in the file? For example MP3tag will quite happily write ID3v2 tags and leave ID3v1 and/or APE tags behind in an MP3 file unless you've told it specifically to delete the old tags. Just a thought. -- pau

Scan for new and changed should be all that you need to do when you've been editing tags. I always change the timestamps on all of the tracks in the same album to ensure that it gets picked up, and then it'll effectively be treated as a new album replacing the old one. --
