I think I just heard the same phenomenon on our station. Also running
2.9.0. There was no overlapping between songs, the first one having a
segue out set.
The first song faded out, and the second one only started when the fade
out was complete.

Don't you think it would be super fantastic to be able to export a CART
under a specific Rivendell format ? It would include everything (or
selectable) that the CART already contains (sched codes, group, cuts and
their markers), along with the actual audio.

Rivendell would have to save the metadata in a chunk in the audio file
itself in the var/snd directory. Right now that info appears to be only
included in the database. Then there'd need to be a special import, or an
addition to the import function that would try to read that metadata out of
the rd

length. We have some at 420 and some at 720. However the data is malformed

Perhaps I am missing something, but for the times when you want to
export / import a track from 1 rivendell system to another, why not just
use the rivendell_filter feature / script? It'll move over the
appropriate database entries for rdlibrary.

Trying to connect a database and folder on a system in another city would be

SPDIF seems to be available inside alsamixer as S/PDIF, S/PDIF 0 and

Working on a new install on Trusty and everything is in except I cannot get
apache to let me delete or edit carts, localhost/rd-bin/addcart.html gives
me a forbidden, so pretty sure this is a cgi-bin config or permissions
problem.
I can add a cart and record it and play it, but no delete
