I would recommend to switch over to the openssl (ossl) driver which gives us

However for some reason, this wasn’t done in all branches and for all

So the easiest solution in my opinion is, to remove the rsyslog-gnutls
package from the other branches/dists.

After a few tests it looks like that RSyslog is not started properly after
reboot.
However if I manually start the service using “service rsyslog start”, it
works well.

Elasticsearch requires libuuid and libcurl,. Either one or both of these

I am finally catching up with my email ;).
I am going to take a look if GnuTLS libraries have been updated.
If not I will take a look how hard it can be to rebuild RPM's with a newer
GnuTLS Version. We have done this for other packages on RHEL 5 multiple
times before.

I am going to look into this. The libs are proberly missing due a bug in
the package files.
I just fixed the same problem for the Ubuntu packages.

Put this in your sources.list:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/adiscon/v7-stable/ubuntu saucy main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/adiscon/v7-stable/ubuntu saucy main
Or add it using add-apt-repository:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:adiscon/v7-stable

can say, PPA's will make our live much more easier. @Mauricio:
I am sorry you had to go to my quick&dirty scripts to setup the build
environment ;). When the PPA works, it will make our live much easier and
better.

There is a mailinglist for loganalyzer:
http://lists.adiscon.net/mailman/listinfo/phplogcon
It has the legacy name of the project, properly not the best name to find
it by google.

I would recommend to create a dedicated user for packaging and put the git
content https://github.com/rsyslog/rsyslog-pkg-ubuntu into the users home
