Hi Tom
My
son and I cancelled our 3 year subscription to GD, due to the conflicting
instructional coverage, and some teachers are mere hacks.
I do
intend to purchase the Nov. 2003 issue, just to read your published article,
unless its posted in full on the internet.

top clubmakers just like they do for top teachers of the golf
swing every year.
The initial response on this idea from Mike is positive, but now it has to go to
the higher ups, which

Looking up 1010 and 1080 carbon steel and the 4140 (a different grade of steel since it contains Chrome) are still all listed with a Youngs Modulus of Elasticity of 2970 PSI.

All the tips work. You just have to know which ones will correct the fault you have! You DO know what your swing

Well since you asked for opinions, you
probably know my opinion on this already!! This was a pretty interesting
project to create and produce for GD. I have to say that their equipment
editor, Mike Stachura, fights tooth and nail to get decent coverage in GD for
equipment orient

Looks like you followed the Golf Digest article, and put the item with the

Dave, I certainly did follow the article to the very end and the choice of order was not mine but the publisher's!

I am a believer. My old driver was a 260cc, 9.5 degree lofted driver with a regular flex Maltby graphite shaft, 44 inches in length. (I have been swinging that length for twenty plus years.)
I switched to a Wishon 915, 360cc Driver with a 10* loft. Same regular flex (only a few frequency point
I read these articles with great interest since this advice will be followed by many customers. Interesting that in the charts an 11* driver with 115 MPH clubhead speed showed a carry of 259 yards. Of all my customers that have been fitted I have only found 3 who could acheive this kind of clubhead
Hi Guys,
At the risk of raising the spine issue for the umpteenth time I thought I
might mention one lttle alignment technique I tried which worked pretty
well. There seem to be some concern as to just how closely a particlar point
(sorry, plane) on the shaft could be aligned. I'm and NBP at 3:00/9

First, thanks much for taking the time and expending the energy to
respond so completely to my sophomoric question!
There clearly appears to be some strongly held divergent opinions and
theories, regarding residual bends, placement of spines, COG,

Very interesting! I was looking at a similar setup a couple of years
back to see if I could find a relationship between shaft butt torque and
tip displacement. I used a three bearing spine finder I rigged up at
home. There were two bearing about 6" apart at the butt. A small bearing
at the tip was

I can
honestly say that this is the first time I have ever seen a noticeable

previous good luck with the YS-6 and Purple Ice and was a bit hesitant
