You don't need bicarb at any voltage level. If you feel an urgent
need to speed up the process then add some CS from a previous batch
(10-20% by volume should do it). I see no reason to introduce
contaminates of any type... especially for convenience sake!

I too am a EE and have found and made a really simple device. I use 3-23A 12
Volt batteries in series with a J505 for the 1ma constant current I also put a
LED so you can see if the thing is working. Also the led will let you know if
