sorry about the ferocity of my comments after re reading my emails i

Al,
I think you should bite the bullet (as it were) and do something about
it.
Reports are that extensive and good dental work can be done across the
border in Mexico at a fraction of the cost of local dentistry. This
might be a good option for you.
You have to make sure that dissimilar
Dear Al,
The only thing I can think to suggest is to contact the Huggins clinic
people in colorado springs and describe your situation, explain your
finances and ask them what they suggest. Maybe your case will be
bizarre enough in its own right to engage their curiosity. At least
you'll know
Hello my Friends!
In the old days, when we were responsible for some 160,000 bees (four
families of them, four queens and their off-spring, that is), we were always
told NEVER to heat honey.
The benefits of honey are plenty, you apply it to infected wounds, and the
infection will be
Years ago, when I was taking care of my grandmother,
there was a laynurse ( learned through the school of hard knocks, not
formal nursing school )
who told me to use honey in a huge bed sore my grandmother had developed
while hospitalized. It
went all the way down to the bone.
We used
Hi Trem and the rest of you who graciously responded!! Great
suggestions about the use of the mouth guard, I actually began wearing
my mouth guard 24/7 to see if it would help. It did a little bit on the
contact surfaces (fibroma) but the overall tongue was still being fried
by the current
Dear Jackie,
That was such a great story of home nursing - the best kind of care, imo.
I'd like to ask for a few more details so I can duplicate your results if
ever needed. Exactly how was the honey applied - straight from the
container or thinned out? When you 'packed the wound' with
Mike's suggestion sounds good, but if you have to do this yourself, you
might be able to isolate the problem areas. If two dissimilar metals
are touching, this is a problem in itself. If you have one metal in one
area and a different metal in another area, you may have galvanic action
between
Well,
We just applied the honey using a squirt bottle, pure honey, not thinned
out at all. Just to the areas that
look infected, or look as though there is dead tissue that needs removed.
If you have healthy tissue, no
need to use the honey. Just pack the wound as described.
As far as
Hi again Deborah,
One thing I did not cover in the last post whas your question of pouring the
salt water into the wound,
Literally, just pad the surface ( bed, or whatever ) very well, (
perhaps a plastic bag or something underneath a bunch
of towels, ) and flood the wound,
Makes perfect since. I really appreciate getting a good lesson in wound
care. Of course I was already thinking along the lines of using CS to
irrigate such a wound and wondering whether there are any conditions where
a saline solution would be preferable to CS. I suppose it might depend
Osiyo Nigadv!
Hello Everyone!
Making a saline solution recipe is 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt or canning salt per
quart.
Do not use regular processed table salt as it has additives that can cause
contamination.
You can make your saline solution using your CS or distilled water and adding
some CS
Hi There Jackie - I thought I had saved your first post on the above
healing a bed sore
with honey however I seem to have deleted it - so if you have a copy or
anyone else
has one I would greatly appreciate it being posted again so that I have
all three posts.
Thanks in advance
Regards to all
