The consumer devices sold widely in Japan use calcium tablets or powder
versus salt, but there's definitely production of some chorine or
chloride in the runoff. It smells very much like chlorox bleach.
Supposedly it is good for the skin.

How much Miracle Water does one actually need, seeing as it has a very

Even 20 PPM ionic silver is retained "some", but to reach a threshold

So Ode, I'm still not understanding the difference between the miracle water
and ionized (acid/alkaline) water. Both seem to be made by a single device
with 2 electrodes, each going into a separate container, with some sort of

About the only difference I see is that the

Yeah,
Kinda like what we've been describing, only with wicks between the
containers.

the wall wart suppy, maybe.

Except for the titanium plates, you mean Chuck. :-) I actually have a
couple wall warts here, but no titanium. Nor stainless steel plates--though
that site says stainless is not recommended. Jason Eaton said that car
chamois is probably what is used as the membrane between the water
containers.
Renee,
I have a Kangen water filtration system. To make the low pH water (2.5) and
the high alkaline water (11.5) simultaneously (each one coming out of their
own hose), we add a salt water solution to the machine. The salt may be
used to increase the electrolysis or the current. Sorry, I'm not
Hi Sharlene. Yes, the Kangen has titanium plates. I went to a demo on it.
They said they put a bit of coral calcium into the machine. You add salt.
Now I'm confused. :-) I wonder if the machine uses the additives to both
the acid and alkaline sections, or just sends it over to one of them.
Renee,
I've never heard of adding coral calcium into the machine! They are very
strict about adding anything into the machine. Was it the Enagic machine?
It may be a competitor. Salt is not added per se, it is a salt solution
(liquid) that comes with the machine and only that particular solutio
Hi Ode,
I am using Prill beads and have been for a year or more. It does take the chlorine smell out and I just checked the ph, it was 8.0.
Question, is there any side effects to the prill beads???
I have read every thing I can about them before I started and could not find any side effect
