Good Day,
I was wondering if anybody has ever tried connecting an audiocodes mediant 1000
box to a SIPx to try Audiocode's remote surviability feature (SAS).
In my test network everything including SIPX, DNS server, Audiocodes Mediant 1K
and my sip phones (cisco 7940 and polycom sip phon
Hey Ranga,
I sent you a snapshot off list if you could take a minute and look at it
that would be great. I can dial in on the trunk fine but no outbound...
Thanks,
Mike

I just noticed that the dev branches no longer post Suse builds (says it has
been downloaded in 3 months)
Do we have any 4.0.1 users on suse now? I'll be starting a project in 2 weeks
and their preferred platform is Suse but i'm a little worried that the Suse
builds are not as tested.

The TFTP server is co-located with sipX on the same system, so Firewall,
router should not make a diff

That's good to know - I have a huge stack of them left over from the

I am wondering where I can find the detailed info about the directory

You'll find generated Snom profiles in :

We just did a Polycom deployment with 4.0.1 and had no issue with MoH.
If using sipXbrdige, we disable MoH in sipxbrdige because we let the phones do
the reinvite. that way we have Moh both internally and externally.
We used this firmware:
Fimrware 3.1.3 Rev C
Bootloader 4.1.2
>>> On 8/25/
This is supported.
If one internal subscriber calls another and is placed on hold, MOH should work.
>>> "Venkata Srinivasan" 08/25/09 11:47 AM >>>
Polycom - BootROM- 4.1.3.0052/ App 3.1.3.0439
SipX- 4.0.1 (installed from ISO)

No it is not, unless you are trying to do MOH in both locally (internal) calls
and via sipxbridge. If this is the case, you just need to enable it for
sipxbridge and not on the default profile in the phone.
What version sipx and polycom firmware are you using?
>>> "Venkata Srinivasan" 08/25/09
Since you would have to define the way sipxbridge protocol works, wouldn't it
be easier to define the IP address of sipx and just give it highest priority
with any firewall that can do this?
We actually bring in a 2nd Internet connection for ITSP use so we don't have to
deal with it but I do se

I believe this is still an open issue.. Any workaround / suggestions?

I would use Untangle.
Very good QoS implementation and very simple to use. Don't forget to turn off

Hey Everyone,
Just wondering what everyone is using or has used to enforce QOS (Bandwidth
guarantees) at the firewall when doing a sip trunk over the primary internet
connection.
We typically use Astaro firewalls which work well but they are a bit pricy for
smaller deployments. We have some
Hi All,
On the 3.10 code each phone pushes its locally modified settings (ring tone,
contrast, headset preferences) up to the ftp server on the sipx system. it
stores them in a -phone.cfg file denoted by the word OVERRIDES.
This does not seem to happen on the 4.0 version. Anyone know how t

By default, polycom phones are provisionned via FTP so sipXecs runs an
FTP server for that purpose.
Hi,
unfortunately the Snom page on the wiki is not correct. Since the
sipxconfig Snom plug-in update to support firmware 7.x the generated
file is in xml format and the wiki page should point to this URL for the
generated config file:
http://"Your_sipX_HOSTNAME":8090/phone/profile/docroot/{mac}
Hi Tommy,
I have a Snom 320 and a similar deployment. My Snom correctly support
DNS SRV records and are able to register. But I remember I had issues
with Snom not registering when I added a SRV record for the SIPS service
(_sips._tcp.yourdomain.tld). It seems the Snoms use it with priority and
