We all make mistakes in all kinds of ways, but the man who can claim that
he never says the wrong thing can consider himself perfect, for if he can

Sounds like a lot of Fun!
I have actually done something similar with my 14 year old brother-in-law.
We went to a soccer field and played 'tag' with our Boomerangs. It's not
easy running away from a wing in one direction while trying to steer your
wing into the opponent behind you :-)

I wonder how many of us could work under the daily preassure Sal does and
then take all the abuse he got on RCSE and not have some health
repercussions? I doubt that I could. We hope you get well soon Sal, and
look forward to having some fun flying times again with you.

I don't believe purchasing any of the currently available models is "Settling", I
believe it is just a matter of choices, and value.
To better clarify Dave Wenzlick's statement, It is important to note that the K2 is
similar in weight to the other Foam/Obeechi F3J
ships commonly flown by Europea
Thanks to all who replied. No Pics on RCSE. That's cool. That's why I

Hi Jim,
I carry the complete line of Pyrenees models. I have some Passaj and Aldi J
models in stock. I also carry the Muninch 60" sloper. These models will soon
catch on in the USA, they offer great flying qualities at a good value.
Check us out!

I'm in need for plans to scratch build a sloper for flying in small to
medium slopes, 10-25 mph winds..
I'm thinking in something like the Fun-1, Blazer or slightly larger .
I saw the Frog II in the plans department of S&E modeler, seems a tad heavy

I saw a Passa-J for sale at the Composite Specilaties booth at the Southwest Classic.
Looked pretty interesting.

You're probably thinking of the Foameron. It and Bob were both manufactured
by Joe Galletti under the company name of "Torque and

There is a web site at www.chez.com/aeromod/ that shows some pretty neat
planes. Of particular interest is a sort of molded "Zagi" style flying
wing, the Passa-J. As the site is in French and my command of the French
language is only enough to allow ordering a good meal at a French eatery,

Back a couple of years ago, there was a blue foamie type wing twist plane

Rubber cement thinner is the same stuff (naphtha) as cigarette lighter

Yes, we have been braving the elements here on Lake Erie too. Gale warnings
with a SW wind make for good sloping. But when the temperature is below
freezing the sticky on the hinge tape isn't (sticky). Think I'll try pinned
hinges.

I need a copy of the instructions for a Pierce Aero Paragon. Bought one
on ebay and the previous owner apparently lost the book. Anyone got a
set they wouldn't mind faxing/mailing/scanning/whatever to me?

You are probably about right with the average weights for Euro F3J, maybe a
little on the heavy side. My 'Starlite' (UK version of the 'Hera') currently
tips the scales at 69oz...not sure what the US Hera's typically weigh.
Must have put too much helium in the wings
