[RCSE] RE: Wing tape

2001-10-24 Thread Nathan Woods
Play it Again Sports sells the clear hockey tape really cheap, like $1 a roll? I use it as hinge tape on all my foamies, and on each side of the tape joint on my 3 piece wings. Then I use colored 3M Decorate and Repair vinyl tape (spelled: Electrical Tape) to tape the gap where the wing panels

Yes I know this isn't glider related but a customer gave me a really neat RC ski boat (about 30" long) and I'm thinking of putting it together. I have only the hull but thinking of putting an electric motor in it if available. Thanks for any suggestions. Hell, maybe I'll use it to pull a HLG with

[RCSE] 9Z Flap Question

2001-10-24 Thread Bill Malvey
OK, here's my question for the day. I have a Futaba 9ZAW. I have it installed in a scale ASW-27 that has flaps (2 servos), ailerons (2 servos), and spoilers (2 servos - Y'd together). Flaps work off the left slider. BUT, ALL the flap movement occurs between the slider all the way up and the

Bill, Understand you frustration, I run into the same type problems with my 8U but thankfully Don Edberg's book makes up for a lot of the shortcomings of the Futaba Manual. Too bad he doesn't do a book on the 9Z. Was seriously considering the 9Z until a conversation with Jack Strother about

OK - this is a good forum. Don't use E-Z connectors cause they unscrew and fall apart. Don't use ball links cause they come apart or the nut falls off. Don't use Z bends cause they are sloppy. Those are the only choices as far as I know, so what do we use? - Original Message - From:
