the info very useful.
I'll be adding the URLs to the links-page for our club website. I figure if
so many people think enough of these companies to respond that quickly, they

And, exactly how did this thread move from a debate over a rule change
concerning the number of models you could have entered in a contest and
what constitutes a 'model change' to this war of the builders against the
flyers?
Because people want to change the rules, because they think it's the
Andy,
Do you build your own composite, (carbon, foam, glass, whatever!) planes
too?
Also why don't you go to contests anymore?

For heavens sake Andy give it a break. You have proved without a shadow of doubt to
yourself that you are the only one doing it
right. Now let the rest of us enjoy the hobby (sport) in whatever fashion we choose!!

It looks like everyone is a builder, designer, per responses I have
received. I then wonder why they are against a builder of the model rule.
for me, that is a simple answer: I don't have the time / inclination to
build everything that I fly. sometimes I build, sometimes I just want to

Maybe, not to you, but to builders, it does. :-).
That's certainly your loss and not ours. I can't believe your opinion is
very widely supported by other builders.

Bill, that is indeed a pretty ship.
It belongs in the air.
Hook up with someone who can bail you out if you get into trouble. It
looks like you're in the SF Bay Area--there are plenty of *highly*

to give you a hand.

I was puzzled and amazed to find a wrinkled, dirt-stained copy of a

Well, what an interesting ride this has been! I simply put the

Just a good old spot landing.
Oh darn... we have quite a few dorks in our soaring club, and
it's been tough trying to teach them how to land. I was hoping
you had figured out a method based on the subject.

'Dorks' do just as well as the 'better' flyers in this type of landing.
Carry an extra 1 to 2 feet of altitude as you approach the 100 point spot so
your sure to get there. When over said spot push down on the elevator and
'dork' it in for a high score. This method is assuming that you don't
