I agree that the aileron tip mod is a good thing, but sounds like a lot of
work. Typical German Engineering solution. I've always done the same thing with
a couple pieces of gap seal tape stuck to the outboard tip of the driving
aileron. Let the non sticky part of the tape overlap the driven tip

I have been flying Escapes for several years now and have V-tail,
X-tail and electric versions. The Escape certainly is one of the top F3J and
unlimited models available today and the quality is second to none. The tip
ailerons are a bit of a complication with advanced programming required

In FMS there are ways to adjust thermal strength and frequency of
bubbles. In addition by manipulating the screen resolution, colors, and
control sensitivity, you can achieve realistic flight or ridiculously
easy flight. The scale ships that Ken designs are the best I have seen
