Help, the forward blind nut on my Eraser is stripped. Don't know how that
happened, I have been very careful when tightening the screws on the wing.
My Shop Theory book tells me that an 8-36 SAE machine screw has a major
diameter .010 larger than the diameter of the Metric screws that came

Heli-Coil it. I had a similar problem with a moldie a few years back
and this worked perfectly. Make sure to work slowly and carefully and
use cutting oil to minimize the possibility of breaking the blind nut loose.

I had the same problem. It looks like the blind nut is aluminum and the
threads were slowly wearing away. Through further investigation the
supplied screw was only engaging about half the threads. So I took the
middle screw moved it to the front and purchased a 30mm to use in the
middle.
What will this mean for our upcoming Fall Festival?
Why can't some people just leave us glider guys alone!
