If you want to learn about bagging wings and tails, this is for you. If

I just opened my shipment of MGS epoxy (L285 and H285) I ordered from

I am getting ready to cut foam for a full flying stab. I will be using a
blend of the HT14 (4.5"root) and an HT12 (3.75") at the tip. Bell crank
pivot and actuating pin hole is 1.5" C/L.
Is there a formula for figuring out the optimal pivot point of the bell
crank position?

I am considering a pull pull system on my Pretty Mantis virt/tail project.
Like to hear some pro's and con's of using a pull pull system for a full
flying stab.
What is being used a the pulley or turn around? Dose anyone sell a pulley
made for this setup?

In my opinion a good indication of a great tip launch is if you can hold
plane 1" to 1.5" in from the tip of the wing, supporting the weight of the
plane, you will probably have a good tip launch plane. Try it with what you
have, that is if you want to have the confidence that you can throw it as
I put a FMA crystal in a Hitac r/x in my hand launch today, I experienced no
problems. I did not get a lot of altitude due to overcast and a little
drizzle, I do know I reached at least 87 FEET :-)

I would like to hear comments from Mantis flyers who use the ballast plugs.
I am planning on making a set up for this season. Did you use epoxy/lead or
melt
lead? What are the pros/cons, advantage/disadvantage? At what wind speed do
you decide to use them. How much and in which holes?
Any comment
Any opinion as to which is better, twisting or braiding servo wires in the
wings up to two feet per side and @ 18" down the fuse?

This seems like this is what is coming down to.
I guess anyone who is going to be competitive this year will have to convert
their plane's or purchase a Discus style plane.
Here's an idea, lets split the contest up in three groups,
Advantage = Discus throw
Expert
Disadvantage = Javelin
Any chance you can add an inventory status to you web page?

I am assuming since the comment of being uncomfortable due to "fiberglass
particles from sanding" the fuselages were made form a male mold. A lot of
Kevlar fuse's must be made from a male mold due to joining the seams in a
female mold (wet seam) is much more difficult then fiber glass fuse's.
