I was wondering if there were many folks soaring in the Indianapolis area? If
you know of people and/or clubs that soar in that area, drop me a note.

I guess that's the only way you can get a photo to me since the list doesn't
allow attachments.

The Seminole RC Club is hosting a soaring contest in Tallahassee, Florida on
Apr
at it is always at the
proper decalage angle. The construction hints above, suggest a modification
to the wing saddle angle. I found that modification to be pretty much on
target. That simple modification makes any consideration of a full flying
stab, moot.
Have fun with the Oly. I sure have!
M
le is probably something like "Model Aircraft Design", but I
don't really remember. I do remember there is a picture of a sharp looking
RV-3? aerobatic plane on the cover of my edition though.

but its a much better saw than the Tradesman. If I was in the market, I'd
wait for the Craftsman to go on sale. By the way, the Tradesman is only a
1/4 hp. You get what you pay for.

have ventured there?
It may be time for me to have Don Richmond make a higher bend angle wing rod
for some 'spuriments. Don Stackhouse mentions that he has figured out the
mathematics regarding dihedral and turning, I'm hoping he will expound here
on his findings.
Mart
st that RnR strugled with this design. They may
have sought to keep the plane light, but may have done so in less than ideal
places. A couple more tweaks in the structural and aerodynamic design may
be all that is needed to make this plane a good performer.

compare the draws for the 368's to those for an analog servo with similar
torque capacity? I realize that this will compare the 368's to a physically
larger analog servo, but I figure its a more justified comparison.

I posted a note here on this problem several months ago.
The insulation hardens and the underlying wire will fracture due to the
repetitive movement. The aileron pot should be the first pot to exhibit this
problem since it is highly used and its movement is large.
Good luck with your problems
Tony mentions in his post, I agree!

d the problem by laminating 2 sheets together,
back to back, in order to get rid of the bowing. I use 3M-77 to laminate.
Its just a small pain in the butt to do this extra step!
I like the other ideas for template materials too. I just haven't found any
as cheap as formica scraps. :-0

will be included. Until then, we will have to be satisfied with a
guess. I have been using 25 percent width control surfaces on all my designs
with no perceived problems. I suggest that 23 to 25 percent be used.
