Our club has grown with the addition of electric flyers. A few rules
but electrics to the right of the winch and the sailplanes landing to
the left with no problems. Being in a public park we do not allow
hotliners but 3Ds and speed 400 stuff dominate. Several electric guys
are now flying gliders

land and if we don't I am sure they will find another group to use it.
We have had no problems with electrics and a lot of us are not flying
electric launched sailplanes, all the fun of sailplanes without the
winch hassle.

I'm a short-timer in the club (~ 20 years) compared to founders like
Denny but have enjoyed many of the events and sessions we've had over
the years. As with all clubs, we go through high and low points. When
you look at the other commitments of the club members, it's
can lose it at any time.

with Li-po batteries, the newbies see us flying sailplanes for 30
mintutes or more and they get real interested. Many of them are now
moving toward larger, better performing e-sailplanes, and a few of us

TulSoar (Tulsa, OK) will be hosting the first of two 2001 aerotows the weekend of April 7-8. This is a very informal fun fly. We will have at least two strong tow planes and we also promise good weather and lots of lift. There's an entry fee of $15 to help offset fuel
