investigating Spotty installation failures with very similar symptoms.
The downloaded files would always be a few kB short. And IIRC all users
having that problem were located in Germany,

Latest changes to 7.9.3 were applied a day or two ago. Important fixes
still go there.

Thanks for continuing to improve LMS. I am trying to download LMS 8.0 to
my Synology DS-713+ which currently runs LMS 7.9.1 which was installed
from the Synology package center. I cannot figure out which file to
download. The Synology NAS requires packages with the .pkg file

Maybe the NAS OS handles it properly when the quick read happens over
the network (which in any case would be slower and so less likely to
happen before the real write completes).
But here LMS is running on the NAS.
Quick hack to test that as a theory ... put a sleep 1s call before the

Also check that the WiFi on the cable modem does not have a client
isolation feature switched on.
Its a security feature that isolates a WiFi connected client from
everything else on the network. This would explain why a wired
connection works when a wireless one doesnt.

Personally I've removed anything that I know I didn't use, and also
