A very strange problem, as with pidof it give a number.
Could you try the following [ ps | grep [L]ogitech ]
Also strange it seems the perl can run if you do perl -V.
You don't have anything else installed which is using poort 9001
What you could try is kill -9 ( and then the number which you

A new beta release for QLogitechMediaServer, with support for

I read serveral things run, but go wrong.
Suggestion, remove QLogitechMediaServer through appstore.
Then reboot your're Qnap and do a clean install.
Wait until its ready, and then do logon to you're Qnap by ssh shell.

Oke keep in mind, this is only a beta version, so can do strange things
on you're system.
But with a lot off help by Qnapfan, there now also is support for
x86/i686 Qnap systems.
It will also work for those how own a mixed x86_64 nas systems running
on QTS 4.2

Some good news, QLogitechMediaServer is gone be include in the appstore

And the other things is, work on support for i686,x86.
Still in prebeta,
It would be nice to hear, if it works on which QNap nas-systems and QTS
version ?

Why is there a error on /lib/libnsl.so.1, as the error is thats its a
ELF32 and not ELF64.
You can use ELF32 file beside other on QNAP, but PERL is a interpreter
and the file and libs it needs, have to be ELF64.
And there lays you're error, why LMS wont start, as Perl runs into
problem.
You're
Nice to read, that at lat at you're end its work.:D
Its clear there where a few thing wrong, you're tar has a problem with
gzip, or there is some strong on you're directory layout !
( that why the SlimServer was not filled on installation ! ).
And you're old prefs and Cache from a SSODS/SSOTS

Don't look at the 346 error, is just a check. Nothing to do with the
startup.
This error will be fixed in next release.
If you looked proper on the logfile, you would have nticed to permision

You can only copy the cache and prefs directory, when you first do
./LogitechMediaServer.sh stop.
Then copy the directory, and the ./LogitechMediaServer.sh start.
Never copy those while LMS is running, it will make it crash.

There should be a directory called Download.
in a ssh shell do [ cd /share/*/], and [ ls ]
Then it must show a directory Download.

I was think about youe installation trouble.
And remember was running in to the same trouble a few months ago.
I my case the trouble was gzip from optware.
So are you running a optware/entware or something like that.
If so disable it before installing QLogitechMediaServer.
The optware/entware
Already possible, in the .QLMS.conf file you can disable it !
Have a look, you can even controle al the options for the startup of

For example i use noupnp, nodebuglog, noinfo, noimage, novideo and
nobrowsecache.
