I wouldn’t call BVE a consumer show, really. It’s aimed at broadcast, film and
TV professionals and most of the gear on show is pretty high-end stuff. The
chap I was talking to was a fairly high-up exec, but obviously not fully clued
up on Ambisonics and at least he asked to be informed of what
I had a chance to talk to a Sennheiser rep at BVE yesterday and have an update
on their VR mic. How much of this is gospel, I don’t know, but they seem intent

up for it is the prototype for the current system. It does indeed work well.

Well, it depends on how you're listening: because I'm using a Metric Halo
ULN-8, I just route the decoded signal through their console application which
lets me record all four channels. I would imagine that most sound cards will
let you do the same thing, if that's how you're getting the signal
Stream working well here - shame it's wildly out of sync with the broadcast
picture, though.
Some distortion apparent on FF passages?
