I saw a heat exchange unit in Ames/Nevada Iowa last week that I forgot to ask
the plant operators about:
The plant operated both a biodiesel pilot plant and several other biomass
pilot projects (the place is called BECON, do a search for
BECON biodiesel
to find a few websites that mention

It's there though - info on using biodiesel instead of two-stroke
oil, also info on other veggie-based oils.

I used 3/4" CPVC washed it with plain rubbing alcohol and painted it flat

temperature of 160+, so I am in the process of adding a plexiglass [high

Mark,
from my university time I remember the following:
Heating by Oil is used when you want energy to be transferred with no or
low pressure and for temperatures not much beyond 250 - 300 Celsius (above
that it becomes either extremly expensive or you "crack" the teat transfer
oil). In additio
Thomas,
regarding my experiments to remove the FFAs before conversion:
The idea behind was to try what is described as the "industrial process" -
titrate the WVO, add water and the required amount of lye (just the amount
that is needed to convert the FFAs to soap). Then let the soap settle down
Keith,
should over growen forest, be thined? If so, what should be done with the
wood from the thinning?

Hello all, I'm Brian from Portland. I'm part of the biodiesel co-op
effort up here.
For those of you who don't know, I have a lot of respect for girl
mark. She helped introduce me to low tech biodiesel making at a
seminar, and has done a lot more than just about anyone I know to
spread the word

Hi Detrick
Hm - very interesting! Seems you've uncovered something. Please
pardon my earlier doubts.
Now why don't the SVO missionaries and sellers of kits know about
this? - as it seems they don't - and done something about it? As it
seems they haven't. Is it up to Jim Caldwell/the EPA to go

I don't think there's any disagreement about that.

You're putting the cart before the horse Greg - you're not going to
demonstrate that "therefore let Big Timber do it"

Once again, continue the precedence ..
Forget CNN . it all merges into GNN ... the Global News Network.

Does that make us "drop outs"?

Hello Andreas,
Perhaps you could help me with a chemistry question. When water boils, the
temperature of a solution will not exceed 100 deg. C until all water is
boiled off, correct? If oil containing water is heated, does this still
apply? More to the point, can the absence of water be determine
Yes! Most definitely!
Let's just hope though, that (in doing so,) we don't make ourselves TOO much
of a threat to "their" plan of UWFPWTMM*. They want our W-R to be zero ...
which, as everyone knows .. is the total goal of it all.

Was wondering what you meant by "oil containing water". Oil and water do
not mix. Do you mean a pot full of oil ... with drops of water on the
bottom of the pot?? Or what??
