Hello Tom
Nice to hear from you again. I hope you're fully recovered now after
your accident.
Randall,
I've been producing biodiesel for the past 6 years, until recently. I have a

Did you get any solid results with the ethanol blend - any tests done

Good news that you've been having success with crude canola,

biodiesel unless it passes the test. You may have a compound which
will burn, but to mis-lable it as biodiesel would be illegal.
Civil liability could follow.
That's a bit of a mis-correlation. I sure wouldn't want to put

Request you to puit this peer reviewed paper on web . Our experience is that
viscosity is not a good indicaator of quality as severl sets of
compositions can give the same visocity whereas their properties will be
quite different

My comment about testing was taken from a conversation with Dr. Charles
Peterson, Director of the BioFuel Lab at U of Idaho, Moscow. Dr. Peterson
flatly stated that the key issue for small biofuel producers was the need to
test each batch, that small producers could not, typically,
Hello all,
is it possible to run bio diesel in fuel oil furnace and water heater
without any modifications to the units?what is the shelf life of
the biodiesel?am looking at buying a diesel car and using this fuel
as i go thru about 40 gallons of gas a week at 25 mpg.
thanks in advance

It's perhaps good thought to err on the side of repeating some of these things.
We've had some good discussion over the last few months here in this group and
elsewhere as to hybrids, EVs, diesels, and the pros and cons of combinations.
Over the years one of the roadblocks I've run into is that

Definitely - my purpose was to draw attention to the previous
discussion, not that it erred.

Hiya all,
I just recently started thinking about waysthat biodiesel can help
poor communities earn an income. But if I think about that, I think
I should also be thinking about whether biodiesel has any patents or
copyrights atttached to it. Would it be illegal to makie diesel for
profit?
I was doing some reading about the US gov't agricultural
biofuel wind hybrid programs highlighted briefly below
or in outline form if anybody's interested.

I do not believe they can be paralleled without modifying the electronics
to synchronize the 60 hz inverter. Inverters designed for grid-intertie
have a lot more protection built in, and automatically synchronize with
the line frequency.

Hi,
I believe you need some sort of master controller to keep them in sync -
otherwise, I believe, they will drift out of sync over time.
