Dear All OK, I have reacted the sodium methoxide and virgin oil together in a blender for 5 minutes. The mixture is left to settle for 48 hrs. The glycerol and ME phase separates. I remove the ME phase and wash using a fish tank bubbler. The ME phase does separate but doesnt look so clear.
