Best solution I have found is to use a BOC
Edwards 80m3/hr 50mbar vacuum pump for flash
evaporation at 55'C. At this pressure, methanol
boils at 10'C. The process stream is at 55'C so
therefore the combined thermal and barometric
condition ensures all of the methanol flash

The material initially settles out into ME and
black glycerol. After the mixture has cool, a
white crystaline (?) material precipitates down
onto the glycerol. I have seen this a few times
now. When I take photos I'll send them out to you

there for 2 years being none the wiser. I guess
well what you dont know cant hurt - that much

The mixture is left to settle for 48 hrs. The

and a methyl ester as clear as day but when I was
it the methyl ester just goes murky white. Its
producing a lot of soap. Any ideas on how to
