Here is the reason why Adobe thinks you should use Flash (and not alternative

Because Flash costs $ and Adobe makes money for selling the product,

Funny
When I programmed in Flash, the community stuck together, here it seems we
like to keep our secrets and have a go at each other, is this why SVG is so
small, maybe we should have a group hug and embrace SVG
Shame we dont have a site like www.flashkit.com where we have tutorials,

SVG Tiny / Basic will overtake Full SVG, if this happens how different is
this, what areas would be lost. For example is SVG Tiny / Basic 90% of full

Well my thoughts are that SVG has not really moved as much as it should
have, with this going on at least we will know what's going to happen and
whatever it will be, will probably be on a major scale, either it will be
part of flash and SVG / Flash will grow or Adobe may consider not supporting
Well all M$ have to do is make it difficult for their next browser to
support either of Adobe's technologies, which will be a stupid move but
anythings possible, then XAML will be out in force.
Whatever happens there gonna be a lot of people out rewriting all their
software.
