いいださん いわゆる自治体コードについて、標準地域コードも地方公共団体コードも5桁までは同じだと思います。 自治体業務では通常5桁を利用しますし、6桁目があることを知っているのはごく一部の人ではないかと感じています。地方公共団体コードの6桁目は何かの分類コードではなく、前の5桁の記述ミスを防ぐためのチェックの役割しかありませんので、5桁の標準地域コードのみでいいのではないでしょうか。 6桁目があると「なんだこれは」と混乱するというのが、自治体現場で働く者のとして感想です。
