Hi Mike,
I presented a talk at MLUG (Melbourne Linux User Group) 3 years ago
about OSM, it was very well received back then.
I used a presentation template that was given to me around 4 (or 5?)
years ago from another fellow OSM contributor in Australia (sorry, can't
remember his name).
Anyway,
Hi Brett (and everyone else),
It looks like your first assumption is probably correct: The Victoria
polygon you're using is too big, it comprises of 10147 nodes (and can be
found at

).

Hi Eric,
Try gpsbabel, it's a handy tool that lets you convert ways / tracks /
routes from one format to another:
http://www.gpsbabel.org/
It can be a little complicated to use, and there is a command line and a
gui interface.
The documentation on gpsbabel's website is very good.
Cheers,
Cam.
Thanks David,
I've updated the 5 or so bus routes in my little area in Vic.
The new network operator's website is:

If you're updating bus routes, it might be a good idea to add whether
the buses are wheelchair friendly / some buses / or not at all:
Thanks Ben,
Badmap is what I've been using over the last few months to find roads
that need desparate attention.
I've been cleaning up NE Melbourne and parts of SW Sydney.
Melbourne is looking pretty good, Sydney needs quite a bit of work.
Another tool that I've been using to cleanup non-odbl
Hi all,
Was just watching Catalyst on ABC1 tonight and was pleasantly surprised
to see OSM being used to show where many earth quakes in New Zealand
have been.
It should pop up here on the vodcast list sometime soon, in case you
missed it: http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/vodcast/default.htm

I've played around with the alcohol relations a bit, changing the type
of relation to site, rather than multipolygon.
And have created a special relation for St Leonard's park, as it's
weird.

Hi Nick,
The best tag I could find for this would be:
man_made=survey_point
name=Q150
website=http://sssiq150.org/
ref=Q150
Which is pretty much the same as what you suggested.
Except that the website URL has the http:// bit in it.
I'm not too sure if it'd be a good idea to include the ref tag?
Was doing a survey around the outskirts of Thirlmere (a small town in
NSW), and came across a difficult road to survey and tag.
It's called Rays Lane

Ah well, I've saved my work in JOSM, and I'll upload it when it's back
online, probably this Monday sometime.

Yes! Indeed there is an issue with this. I hadn't searched for
