You can issue an thebat.exe /EXIT command and it will quit the
running instance of TB. You don't need the .IPC file

I have four accounts that checks mail. Accounts 1, 2, and 4 is set
to check mail every 30 seconds, the third is set to check every 30
minutes. But at the time of writing (12:49PM CET) TB hasn't checked
Double-clicking a message in Message Dispatcher does NOT open the message.
And when you do open it by hitting Enter, and then select Message -
Move to Folder, the message is copied to the folder (and not deleted
from server).

You want to exit and restart TB or reboot the PC. This is pretty
easy to do while in front of the PC - but if TB is downloading
mail unattended it is a totally different story!
