As such i envisage it will need to perform quite a number of different

These could be hugely varied to:

Hi Bird,
I a bit of a newbie myself but thought at least it would not do any
harm to mention this bit of info, might for somewhere to look.
In the advent it does not at least you will know one more thing:

Hi Alan,
Thanks for the detailed reply, nice of you to spend the time to share
your thoughts and experiences thus far.
Unfortunately in this day and age communication through the internet
and on forums replies are generally limited down to 2 or 3 sentences
at best; so well done.

Hi wolfgang,
Thanks for taking a moment to reply, i think it will be useful to know

Although i am fairly clear what my goals and requirements are i am not

Thanks Eric,
I have been a bit lazy and import the #StyleSheetShortcuts plugin and

Hi again Alan,
You are quite right in what you say about the TW community in that
they are very willing to help newcomers and the help is appreciated,
yourself included.
In fact they are so helpful providing info my head is a veritable wash

I have my TW on my USB stick and if i map a path to an image for my
recipe book it is fine.
When i go to work with the same USB stick and plug it in my drive
mapping is messed up.
This is because at home my USB is mapped as M:\ and at work it is
mapped as E:\
So the path string below works fine
I frequently use a number of forums and would like to know if someone
can help me understand the URL syntax.
I noticed it on a few sites when logging in that i recognise that my
username and password had been fed into the URL string, can anyone
help with this, appreciate a little help.

I want to insert notes for myself or others to understand what and why
i have done the things i did.
Therefore i recall once a long time ago that you could REM out a line

Hi wolfgang,
Apologies for not replying to this earlier. The problem with this

Hi Eric,
I was asking a similar question in another post and could not help
wonder if this may suit my needs better.
The reply in the other post essentially showed me the syntax for
comments such as /% text %/ the only little issue is that it creates
blank lines.
So would AddANote eliminate thi
exiting edit mode. It is just that if
you add in a few lines of notes or comments then it starts to intefere
with you tiddler appearance a bit more significantly?
TIA

Since the above post is more than 2 years old, I was thinking maybe
there's a more up-to-date process. Is there one?
Thanks!

Hi,
After I put <> in MainMenu, the resulting search box is too
wide and protrudes beyond the right margin on which the text in
MainMenu is aligned.
How do I either make MainMenu wider or the search box smaller?
Assuming both is possible, what are the advantages of one over the
other?

Alex,
Thanks for the thoroughly informative reply!
I went with making the search box smaller: #mainMenu .txtOptionInput
{width:9em;}
Curious that making the box 10em (supposedly the width of mainMenu,
since I didn't change it) still resulted in a slight but definite
protrusion, so I had to make
MonkeyGTD displays search results in a pop-up and allows me to chose
which tiddler to open. What's the easiest way for me to do the same
in vanilla TiddlyWiki? I find the default behavior of automatically
opening every tiddler in the search results somewhat jarring.
Thanks!

I tried that plugin with no success. I don't know why. Search simply
stopped working.
But I did find this plugin:

which worked right off the bat.
I'll play around with the TiddlyTools plugin a little more though -- I
