I'm just curious... while you can easily determine if students have used an
example from the book, how are you able to determine a "real life example"
from "a made up example?" And what difference if they use a real life
example or a made up example if either reflects understanding of the

'can' quote but they do not. I use the same rationale -- I'm grading
