I was on Marinal for several years. The only thing it did for me was to
make me hungry...there was very little of the buzz you get with pot (so
I hear). I just stopped taking it because Dr. Kerr felt it was adding to
my fatigue. I did not feel like I lost anything when i gave it up.

Has anyone onset been from a virus? Another thing I experience that my
neurologist thinks is something other than TM is if I am out in and it is
windy or cold and tense up almost as if to shiver, my legs stiffen up and
I have a hard time walking. Has anyone experienced that?
There, I did it,

WELCOME!!! I personally have not been inflicted with TM, but my
daughter has. She was 11 at the time and is now 14. She had her
anniversary on 2/1 (3 years). I think she is probably the youngest

This weekend we received aprox. 3 of rain and my legs were killing me!
I have found both high humidity and cold weather adversely effect my TM.
I am curious as to if other members find that the weather effects their
condition.

Can you tell us why you made the switch from the Marinol to the Sativex,
considering the cost? Are either covered by your insurance?
Sativex works faster, longer, less euphoria and just a better experience over
all.
Maninol is covered medicare drug plan. Sativex is not covered anywhere
Just seeing if anybody knows of a medication that works better than neurotine
for the burning. (nerve pain) Thanks
Cannabinoids !!
I wonder if a person was taking the medication Marinol, would they fail a
drug test while trying to apply for a job.

Rob,
Living here in Naples, FL, I find that the barometric pressure changes makes a
huge difference and the effect on my TM symptoms even within 50 miles.

NO, you would not fail the drug test because Marinol is synthetic THC and
they test for THC and Marinol is a LEGAL script so they won't fail you
because you have the script. You will show positive for THC, but you are
supposed to have that in your urine if you take Marinol.

Dear TMIC-members,
some of you may remember me, I´m Ursula from Germany. This list has
been a big help for me at my onset of TM in 2001. I got to know many
wonderful people here from all over the world and with some of them I´m
connected in a deep friendship.
And as I see the list still is
Well, I do work and do get tested, it is no worse than someone taking
morphine, which shows up as an opiate, like heroine, so yes, it is legal and
if you get discriminated against for it, they are the ones in trouble not
you. I don't need either at this time, 10 years into this, I can deal just
For a week before getting hit by TM I felt like I was fighting a cold or the
flu. I told that to my doctor but way back then they didn't even have a clue
about TM. I also had a blister on the palm of my hand that was some what
infected. One of the doctors indicated he thought that could
Hi Steve
I switched from Neurontin to Lyrica six months ago. I start getting relief
within 15 minutes of taking the Lyrica and it lasts longer than the Neurontin,
however, it still doesn't stop all of the burning.

Greetings,
