So most likely Stew would operate his own contest, work DX but would not subm

The Mouser part picture does not look like a FT-240-31. The referenced part
number looks like it fits over a cable.

Sorry my original post was not clear...What I meant was that my friend
didn't like the receive audio on the K3 when listening to a SSB signal...the
transmitted signal was not the issue. Sorry for the confusion. Greg

because it's too small. I'll remind him of that when it comes time to send
his radio off to be repaired.) 73, Greg-N4CC

Why not just get a K3 instead of something that "rivals" it. It's made in
the USA, too, and Elecraft has the best customer service in the industry. I
have no affiliation with Elecraft -- just a satisfied user. 73, Greg-N4CC

Why would the NB null be frequency dependent? Why does it change? Why
would a different antenna make any difference unless you pick up different
noise sources with the two different antennas? 73, Greg-N4CC

noise plagued me for at least 5 years, then one day it was gone.
I used an MFJ noise cancelling phaser for those years and without it, I would
have been off of the air.
Good luck finding the source!
