Hi Everyone,
Haven't been having any problems so I have been silent... Until now...
I have made several updates to my setup and everything is going GREAT,
save one issue. When I try to playback 24/88.2 files I get white noise.
I can play the files if I enable
Its most likely UDP thats causing the problem. The players and the
server use UDP multicasts to find each other. Once they find each other
they talk via TCP/IP.
A lot firewalls have UDP blocked for some reason. With UDP blocked SBS

Can anyone recommend any specfic devices that fall within the above
spec? 250GB would be ample.

Hi Phil,
Thank you for your reply.
When I click on the song that is playing in the web interface it tells
me that the Bitrate is being converted. The line reads Bitrate:

Wow good to hear !! Just ordered one. Hopefully it arrives at the end

With my Duet and SBS on Win7 x64 I found it was really the firewall
inbound rule for TCP that was the problem.

I do not know about transcoder helpers or any of that.
What Phil meant is that there is no way for the Squeezebox Server to

First you need a good linear power suplly, than carefully arranged

I got a squeeze box touch since several months. The Squeezebox Server is
installed on a Synology NAS Server.
All was working perfectly. But since a week, I got a behaviour I cannot

With those unbiased electrolytic d.c. blocking caps in the L + R output
