The iPods have multitasking if they are on 4.0, the App doesn't because it's not a native iOS App but a Webapp. But usually the biggest delays are because the iPod shuts down WiFi when idle, also, even the Logitech App does preserve it's state. You could of course use iPeng which you can keep

[SlimDevices: Touch] Wireless to ethernet to fix Spotify stutter?

Hi all, Got Spotify Premium up and running on my Touch but it stops for a few seconds roughly every 20 seconds during playback. I'm guessing that my wireless signal can't keep up. Am I guessing right or could there be another issue? If I am right then it's no hassle for me to use an ethernet

Dear Phil, thanks, I will do the upgrade and enable logging and see what happens. I am not taking notes all the time, but I think, it happens every time I play a long file. What is for sure, is, that it happens as well on normal-res CD rips (44.1/16), as long as they are of a certain length.

The touch is showing 100% signal strength - I suspect the issue could be my broadband speed as we're about 9 miles from the exchange. I downloaded a 24/96 res album from Linn records and only achieved 140 kbps. Maybe a better router is required - I'm only using the 'standard issue' that came with

Yeah, if your internet is choking on small stuff like internet radio you may have bandwidth issues. Simple test is to play a lossless file on your computer through your Touch. If it can handle a FLAC or WAV file without rebuffering (which I'd bet it can) then you know the issue is with the
