Further to my post 10 days ago and neeraj's action, I removed a part of
artwork and files from my HDD and using latest firmware 7.7.1 tried to
do a clean scan... failed. So I removed more files - now instead of
original 17k-18k audio files and cca 1350 image files there remained

Welcome to the world of buggy, under-resourced Logitech server! I still
get this problem frequently (although not half as much as I used to in

I had exactly the same problem - music service stopping for some unknown
reason. For the last 24 hours I could only scan in half a dozen albums
or so (and had to move most of my data into a folder starting with a
full-stop to prevent it scanning) or else the music service stopped
while scanning.

Interesting. I spent hours resizing all my artwork to 150 x 150 which

However I have just found an .m4p file lurking which I didn't know

I'll report back in a couple of days if this solves the problem.

It actually may be related to artwork, but not just the size of image

The only way to find out if adding a USB extension cable will work is to

Ok, I've been through all the artwork and resized it. I'll monitor it

I know this is a few months old but I'm having the same problem. I'm
using the Touch as a self contained unit with a 32Gb class 4 card.
How did you manage to find out this was the problem? I can't see any
way of debugging this device. What sort of artwork size was causing
the problem?

Thanks a lot! I tried the 7.6.2 - it's still going through all the

get back to you if problems occur, but so far I'm optimistic! Thanks

Very welcome and if you feel brave you can let it update to 7.7.1 again.

Well, it seems that the problem had to do with the size of artwork
