I've been using openshift.com to host my website. It's by Red Hat and runs on
free software. For a simple website choose the "diy" cartridge and you must
use SSH keys and git on your local machine to manage and upload your web
pages, documents, and media into the app root. The free account ge

Don't worry about it, neither of the two incidences (one is lower and
isn't yours) actually make me look as boring or as foolish as I
actually am :-).
Sorry, I forgot...
Thank you Michal. I will.
Good information,, I'm going to try them out.
Thank You
The custom design is overblown, anyway. There are one or two things I would
customize on my WordPress blog, but there is a theme for virtually every
purpose imaginable, and you could easily find something that does almost
exactly what you want. Especially if all you want is a simple website w
I haven't found any obvious blobs in the drivers, it looks free. Check
if it works and supports the features that you need: someone who has
that hardware should be able to tell you, and that it is being
maintained and won't get orphaned while you use the device.

Well, you can use ShoutWiki if you don't mind using a wiki style interface
filled with some ads (ad-free if you'll gonna pay for it). Since it's based
on MediaWiki, it'll allow you to customize your site through CSS so the
potential for customization is practically endless (see Wikipedia vs.
No custom design for the free version... well, that is not ideal, but it
would be sufficient. I am a little worried about lack of customization,
though. I prefer not having too many restrictions (By that I mean, the
service offers a lot of them, but most of them are not offered for the free
I've got a 3rd monitor which is connected to an older graphics card (I
grabbed that from my older computer).
Both graphics cards is detected, I can see them if I type "lspci". When I run
"xrandr", it shows all displays, but the 3rd monitor is disabled. My question
is, how do I enable it?
That's normal behavior if you ran apt-get update. It just updates its
database. You have to run apt-get dist-upgrade to upgrade everything.
What about WordPress.com? I doesn't have any personal experience with it
though.
Hello!
I am looking for a website that can provide a decent web hosting. I don't
even really specially need web hosting, I need to make an online website with
some pages, text, images and files to download. I used Wordpress at

I have a couple of questions regarding the address book. I do not use any

I use Gnome (3.12 right now) and want to use a clean installation as
possible. I want to use Gnome Contacts (Evolution Database Server, EDS?) and
sync Thunderbird to that address book database. I h
One that can translate sentences and paragraphs, and not just one word at a
time. I'd like to use it for (English to/from) Chinese (simplified and
traditional) and Spanish.
My update manager has been "greyed out" for about two weeks making it
unusable. Adding to the issue running update via Terminal failed as well, it
would simply check for updates, and then do nothing.
